Global issues are challenges that impact the entire world and require the cooperation of all nations to address. These include climate change, poverty, inequality, human rights violations, terrorism, and pandemics, among others. These issues have serious consequences, affecting people’s health, safety, and well-being.
In our conversation English lessons, I am excited to teach you about global issues by discussing current events and news stories that relate to these topics. I believe that through our discussions, we can explore the causes and impacts of global issues and the ways in which individuals and organizations are working to address them.
Together, we will focus on vocabulary and expressions used in discussing global issues, and practice speaking and writing about them. I will provide reading materials, videos, and podcasts for you to engage with, and encourage you to share your own opinions and responses to the issues we discuss. By doing so, we can gain a better understanding of the various perspectives that exist on these complex problems.
I understand that global issues can sometimes feel overwhelming, and it can be difficult to know where to start. To help with this, we will use role-play and simulations to explore different perspectives and solutions. By doing so, we can develop a more nuanced understanding of the challenges at hand, and the ways in which we can work together to address them.
Ultimately, my goal is to expand your knowledge of global issues, improve your English language skills, and develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for the diverse challenges facing our world. I believe that by working together and engaging in thoughtful conversations, we can create positive change and make the world a better place.
