  • What is your favorite food or drink from the supermarket, and why do you like it so much?
  • Can you think of a time when you helped someone in your family pick out food at the supermarket? What did you choose?
  • If you could create a new flavor of ice cream or yogurt, what would it be and what ingredients would you use?
  1. Supermarket Scavenger Hunt: Next time you visit a supermarket with your family, try to find the items we learned about: bread, jelly, juice, honey, yogurt, cookie, ice cream, chocolate, cake, and soda. Can you spot them all? Ask your parent or guardian to help you read the labels and see if you can find your favorite flavors or types!

  2. Make Your Own Snack: Choose one of the foods we talked about, like bread or yogurt, and create your own snack. For example, you can spread some jelly on bread or add some fruit to your yogurt. What new flavors can you create? Share your snack with a family member and tell them about the ingredients you used.

  3. Draw Your Favorite Food: Pick your favorite food from our supermarket adventure and draw a picture of it. Is it ice cream, chocolate, or maybe a cookie? Use your imagination to add colors and details. Once you’re done, share your drawing with your class and explain why it’s your favorite!
